A penguin island where the coffee sacks pay SOL.

Waddle is a free browser game in the spirit of the old penguin chat island: make a penguin, waddle around, dress up, throw snowballs. In the Toasty Bean stands the Sack Stack cabinet: stack coffee sacks, bank the run, and your points become a share of the pot, paid in SOL from the creator fees of $WADDLE. No deposit, no wallet connect: you paste a payout address and that is it.

01 · Getting in

Getting in

  1. Press Play. Pick one of twelve colours and a name (3 to 12 letters or digits).
  2. Keep it, if you like. Add a password and the penguin is an account: log in from any device. Without one it is a guest that lives in this browser.
  3. Payout address. Paste a Solana address to be paid at. You can add it later from the menu (Esc) or after a bank.
  4. Pick a server. Eight servers, the star marks the busiest one. Everyone on a server shares the same island.

04 · Sack Stack

Sack Stack, the game that pays

Walk up to the cabinet in the Toasty Bean and press start. A delivery truck throws coffee sacks across the yard.

  • Catch sacks on your head: 2 × the truck number points each. Carry up to five; a sixth crushes you.
  • Put them down on the platform at the left (click, or ↓): 3 × the truck number points per sack.
  • Each truck brings 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 sacks to unload. Unload all five trucks for a +600 bonus; after that the trucks keep coming, faster.
  • From truck 2 the truck also throws anvils, fish and flower pots. One on the head costs a life. You have 3; a golden star on trucks 3 and 5 gives one back.
  • Move with the mouse (or ← →, or your finger). Every point is also worth a tenth of a coin.
Banking: hold Space (on a phone, the round button) for 5 seconds while the truck keeps throwing. If something hits you during the hold, the hold breaks. When the hold completes, the run ends and your points are paid out from the pot. Lose your last life before banking and the run ends with coins only.
05 · Banking and payouts

What a run pays

A bank takes a share of the pot that grows with your points: share = 25% × (points ÷ 8,000)1.6, at most 25% of the pot from 8,000 points on. The curve is steeper than straight: one long run is worth far more than several short ones.

The smallest bank: ◎0.0007.

How the pot fills

Every SOL that comes in lands in the pool: part of it goes straight into the pot, the rest is a reserve that flows into the pot at 25% of itself per hour, with the pot never above 30% of the pool. However many players bank at once, nobody can take more than the pot holds: a rush only makes each bank smaller until it refills.

Getting paid

1 · BankedYour share is taken from the pot the moment the hold completes.
2 · QueuedA payout to your address is written to the ledger.
3 · SendingThe payer signs and sends it from the game's wallet.
4 · LandedThe transfer is confirmed on chain; the ledger links it.
5 · DoneSOL in your wallet. One transfer is at most ◎0.5.

Before $WADDLE launches the game runs in practice: the same rules on a paper pot, nothing is owed or sent.

06 · The holding rule

Hold 0.25% of $WADDLE to cash out

A bank only pays an address that holds at least 0.25% of the $WADDLE supply. The game reads your payout address on chain when you start the hold (read only: no wallet connect, nothing signed) and checks it again when the hold completes.

If the address holds less, the hold is stopped at once with exactly what is needed and what it holds now, and you keep playing the same run. Top up the wallet, then hold again. In practice mode (before the coin launches) nothing is asked.
07 · Where the SOL comes from

Creator fees, and nothing else

Every trade of $WADDLE pays a creator fee. A payer claims those fees into the game's wallet about once a minute and books them into the pool; 2% of every claim buys $WADDLE back and burns it. Nobody deposits into the game, and the total paid out can never exceed what came in. Every claim, payout and burn is on the ledger with its transaction.

08 · Waddlers

Every penguin is an NFT

The moment you make a penguin it becomes a Waddler, numbered in the order penguins were made. Its traits are its colour, its clothes and a backdrop you pick on your card; rarity comes from how many Waddlers share each trait.

  • Mint it from your card's Waddler tab to your payout address: a compressed NFT on Solana in the Waddlers collection, minted for you.
  • It needs a saved penguin (with a password), a payout address and one round of Sack Stack.
  • It follows your look: change clothes and update it (once every 10 minutes) while it is in the wallet it was minted to.

Browse every one in the Waddlers gallery.

09 · Coins and clothes

Coins and clothes

Coins are for dressing up and nothing else: they are never SOL and SOL never buys them. You get coins from Sack Stack (a tenth of your points, banked or not) and from fishing at the Docks. Spend them in Waddle Wear on hats, glasses, scarves, tops, shoes and new colours, then put things on and off from your card.

10 · Fair play

Fair play

  • The server decides. Your browser plays Sack Stack for you to see; the server replays every input on the same seed and only its result is banked.
  • No running ahead and no pausing. The server keeps the clock: a hidden tab does not stop the truck.
  • A server restart keeps your run. Sessions are saved and come back where they were; your page reconnects you.
  • One session per penguin at a time; a second tab takes over from the first.
  • Chat: links and wallet addresses never reach other players; the swear filter is on by default.
11 · FAQ

FAQ

Do I need a wallet to play?

No. You only need an address to be paid at, and only when you want to bank for SOL.

Does it cost anything to play?

No. The game is free; the pot is paid from the coin's creator fees.

Why was my bank refused?

Every refusal says why: no payout address yet, the run is worth less than the smallest bank, your address holds less than 0.25% of $WADDLE, or banking is paused for a moment. The run goes on either way.

How long until the SOL arrives?

Usually seconds. Every payout's state and transaction are on the ledger.

What happens if I close the tab during a run?

The truck keeps throwing with nobody catching; come back within a minute or two and you take your run over. Close it for good and the run ends with coins only.

What is practice mode?

Before the coin launches, the game runs on a paper pot with the same rules so everything can be tried. Practice banks pay nothing.

Waddle is a game. The pot is paid from the coin's creator fees; how much it holds changes with trading. Nothing here is financial advice.
